It was so good to see so many of you parents and students during the
last few days! I am super excited about this school year. Remember to
bring all your supplies with you the first day of school, and get lots of
sleep the night before.

Meet the Teacher
All students in fourth and fifth grade can come meet Miss Schwartzkopf
next Tuesday the 24th (9am-12pm) or Wednesday the 25th (1pm-4-pm).
Just drop on by while I'm getting the ship ready. I'm so excited that you
are all going to be in our class this new school year! See you then!
Parent Information Night
Parents, come out on Thursday night (8-26). There are two sessions
parents may attend; this really helps out when you have students in
more than one class. Please attend either the 5:30-6:15 or the
6:15-7:00 session to get great information pertaining to our class.
Children are not to attend this night.

The computers are in! We have two brand new computers this
year we will have numerous uses for. While we have a fabulous
computer lab, our personal computers will allow students to
explore space, practice their math facts, experience Bible stories,
create presentations, practice typing, and much more!
New Duty Assignments
This year the crew will have a chance to interview for different jobs in
class that will utilize their particular talents and abilities, and demonstrate
responsibility. The jobs will last for three weeks at a time, at the end of
which the students may seek a new position. Stay tuned!
Website Changes
Cabin work (homework) will no longer be posted on the internet. The
crew is expected to copy their assignments in their assignment books
daily and have you initial the books once the work is done, just like in
third grade. You can always email me if you have questions or
concerns! I am working on the spelling lists, as the lists have changed in
the last couple of years. I will update this blog once they are posted.
