To Bring on First Day:
1        NIV Bible (Not rNIV or NrIV)
1        backpack
1 ream (500 sheets) white copy paper
1 ream (500 sheets) colored printing/copy paper
24      pencils
1        composition notebook
1        pencil sharpener (to keep in desk)
set of 8-16 colored pencils
1        adult shirt for use as an art smock
1        set of watercolors (flat)
1        sharp pointed scissors, any size
1        pack of 8-10 markers, large, not permanent
5        folders with pockets (different and labeled
    with student name)
1        at least 100 sheets wide-ruled paper
1        2 or 4-pack of Expo dry erase markers
2        large pink erasers
2        boxes of tissue
1        inch/centimeter ruler (for math)

Some items like pencils, tissues, lined paper, may
need to be replenished throughout the year.  Notes
will be sent home.
To be kept at home:

toys or pencil topper toys

candy (unless I ask for it)
permanent markers

electronic devices (if your child must bring a   
cell phone to school, it is to be kept in
his/her backpack and turned off all day.  If
they need to call you, they will use the
school phone, and you can contact the
school if you need to reach them).

For sale mornings in the ship store:
Various items from 10 cents to 50 cents so far.  
Exact change is required.  Students may purchase
items before pledges.  Here is an example of items
offered at the ship store:

10 cents:  pink staple strip, blue staple strip,
pencil top erasers, foam flowers

25 cents:  pencils, pencil rips, twistable crayons
(each), pink erasers

50 cents:  used expo markers, highlighters, red
erasable pencils, mechanical pencils, president
rulers
